When temperatures drop, consumption skyrockets!

We can all adopt small changes to reduce energy bills and help the environment. Here are a few great tips!

Tip #1: PROGRAMME YOUR HEATING SYSTEM

When temperatures start to drop below zero, remember not to turn your heating too far down at night or if you are away from home, as the energy required to bring temperatures back up after will lead to overconsumption. Thanks to our ROOM THERMOSTATS, temperature set-points are aligned with outside temperatures to ensure constant comfort, and save on energy.

Tip #2: LET SOME AIR IN AND INSTALL OPENING SENSORS

Did you know? Heating humid air requires more energy than heating dry, renewed air. Even in very cold weather, letting fresh air into your home is important to get rid of any humidity and improve heating performance. Remember to install an OPENING SENSOR that will automatically shut off your heating if a blind is open.

Tip #5: ACTIVATE YOUR SUN OPTIMISATION FUNCTION

To keep your home pleasantly heated, activate the automatic closing option on your blinds for when the sun sets, using the sun optimisation function which can be controlled via your Tydom application. DISCOVER THIS FUNCTIONALITY!

Tip #4: OPT FOR LOAD-SHEDDING

Consumption is always higher in cold weather...and a fuse is more likely to blow! Fit a LOAD-SHEDDING device in, which will automatically suspend power supply for non-essential equipment during consumption peaks - without affecting your comfort in any way.
